Property ownership in Cyprus

Purchasing property in Cyprus is a transparent and efficient procedure. Non-EU citizens, including their dependants, foreign companies, or Cyprus-based companies under non-EU ownership, may acquire one immovable property upon receiving permission from the Council of Ministers. When purchasing land, the total area must not exceed 4,014 square metres.

EU citizens who are permanent residents of Cyprus face no such restrictions and may freely acquire any immovable property.
